Hanex is a leading Polish manufacturer of thermoforming films, PET preforms, and bottles.
History of Hanex
1992 – GTX Hanex Plastic Sp. z o.o. is established in Poznań.
1994 – The Sokółka facility introduces one-stage bottle production lines, enabling bottles to be manufactured directly from resin pellets. Less than two years later, Hanex begins producing preforms, the semi-finished product used for bottle manufacturing.
1999 – Expansion of operations to include the production of polyester thermoforming films.
2000 – Entry into new markets and expansion of the product portfolio. Packaging designs developed by Hanex are officially registered. At the same time, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) becomes the sole raw material used for packaging production.
2005 – Consolidation of production activities at a single facility in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
2008 – Awarded funding under the "Innovative Economy" program. Hanex obtains the EN ISO 22000:2005 certification. A year later, the company invests in a fourth production line, increasing PET film production capacity.
2011 – Awarded the BRC/IOP Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials certification.
2015 – Implementation of the HMW (Hanex Management Way) program, based on the continuous improvement and optimization of best practices in the company's internal operations.
2016 – Marpol S.A. acquires 100% of the shares of GTX Hanex Plastic Sp. z o.o., making Hanex a part of the LERG Group.
