History of WeButex
2010 – Wolfgang Wese and Matthias Butz establish the company.
2011 – Acquisition of property in the Altenkreith Industrial Park in Roding, Germany.
2012 – Nominated as a finalist for the German SME Award (German Award for Medium-Sized Enterprises).
2013 – Expansion of CNC machining capacity with advanced 5-axis technology.
2014 – Investment in an additional 5-axis milling machine and another CNC lathe. Completion of research and development work on a unique milling machine for the production of rotor and stator slot wedges.
2015 – Investment in two new CNC milling and machining centers as well as a high-performance wide-belt grinding machine meeting the latest industry standards. Implementation of the GEMBA system as part of the company’s lean management optimization program.
2016 – Investment in two additional CNC milling machines (3-axis and 5-axis), an additional abrasive blasting system, and another milling machine for the production of rotor and stator slot wedges.
2017 – Investment in a new CNC measuring machine.
2018 – Launch of sales and marketing training initiatives.
2019 – Investment in a professional paint booth and two additional 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
2020 – Acquisition of the plastics division of the Austrian company Zech Technischer Industriebedarf in Vienna. Establishment of a representative office in France.
2021 – Investment in a 3D abrasive blasting system. WeButex Kunststoffbearbeitung GmbH joins the industry competence network “Mechatronik Netzwerk.”
2022 – Implementation of the 5S process optimization methodology as part of the company’s lean management strategy.
2023 – Establishment of a representative office in Romania. Investment in a new 5-axis CNC milling and machining center. Acquisition of the German company “Alsdorf-Fertigteile aus Duroplast” based in Wuppertal. Digitalization of production processes. LERG acquires a stake in WeButex. To support future growth, the company purchases a 20,000 m² industrial development site adjacent to its facility in Roding.
